Official Contest Rules:

The "Make Out Like a Pirate" Giveaway

NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR PAID MEMBERSHIP OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAID MEMBERSHIP WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. Eligibility

The "Make Out Like a Pirate" Giveaway (the "Contest") is open to legal residents where permitted by local law. Employees, affiliates, and immediate family members of Burping Gorilla Productions, Inc or PedFast Technologies are not eligible to win. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

2. Sponsor

The Contest is sponsored solely by Burping Gorilla Productions, Inc. ("Sponsor"). This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with YouTube, Google LLC, or Patreon. By entering, you completely release YouTube and Patreon from any and all liability associated with this Contest.

3. Agreement to Rules

By participating, Entrants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects.

4. Contest Period and Trigger Event

The Contest entry period begins immediately upon publication of the announcement video. The random drawing for the prizes will take place exclusively when the main John Tinkers YouTube channel reaches one hundred thousand (100,000) subscribers.

5. How to Enter

To enter the Contest, individuals must complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the official John Tinkers Patreon page at https://patreon.com/cw/JohnTinkers

  2. Join the community at either a free or paid tier level. A paid membership tier does not increase, alter, or improve an Entrant’s chances of winning.

  3. Locate the pinned giveaway announcement post on the Patreon page and completely fill out the intake form provided in that message.

Limit: One (1) entry per person. Duplicate entries, multiple accounts, or fraudulent attempts to enter will result in disqualification. Note on Future Contests: Active members of the John Tinkers Patreon community (free or paid tiers) at the time of future drawings will be automatically entered into subsequent giveaways, subject to the rules of those specific events.

6. Prizes and Approximate Retail Value (ARV)

  • First Prize: One (1) custom, hand-built John Tinkers Decade Resistance Box (as featured in Episode 14). Approximate Retail Value: $250.00 USD.

  • Second Prize: Two (2) individual packages of assorted electronic components. Approximate Retail Value: $125.00 USD each.

Prizes are non-transferable, and no substitution or cash equivalent is permitted, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

7. Winner Selection and Notification

Winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. The drawing will occur within fourteen (14) days of the channel hitting the 100,000-subscriber milestone.

Winners will be notified via the contact information provided in the Patreon form that is offered for a subscribe to receive a free subscription gift. If a winner cannot be contacted, fails to claim the prize within thirty (30) days of notification, or fails to timely return any required declaration or release if applicable, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

8. Taxes, Duties, and Customs

All federal, state, local, and international taxes, customs fees, import duties, or VAT associated with the receipt or use of any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Sponsor is not responsible for international shipping delays, customs seizures, or outstanding fees required by the destination country's postal system to clear delivery.

9. Limitation of Liability

By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless John Tinkers from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from (i) participation in the Contest or the receipt, possession, use, or misuse of any prize; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including platform glitches or network outages; or (iii) unauthorized human intervention in the entry process.

10. Disputes

This agreement is made and entered into in Will County, Illinois, USA. The laws of The USA and Illinois shall control in all circumstances. All parties unconditionally submit to the jurisdiction of the USA and Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.

As a condition of participating in this Contest, the Entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Illinois having jurisdiction.
